About this Zone

Since people first looked at the beauty of flying birds and got a serious case of FOMO, we have always dreamt of flight. Then it actually happened and we got Ryanair. But the dream of modern air travel, and space travel, isn’t over yet. Engineers are always busy improving the ways we move through the air, and working out how to reach the rest of the solar system. One day soon it may even be Ryanspace.

In the Aerospace Zone there is an engineer who works out how much noise aeroplanes make so we can try and make them quieter, one who makes software that is used on jets and helicopters and one using aerospace technology to make cars more efficient and economical. You will also meet an engineer who is working on sending a rover to Mars, and another who builds aeroplane wings.
