About the Satellite Zone

The International Space Station | Image: NASA

It’s easy to forget how far global navigation has come when finding your way in a new city is so simple thanks to the phone in your pocket communicating with a network of satellites.

Engineers in this zone could be building satellites, imaging instrumentation or launchers, monitoring natural and man-made disasters, improving how satellites communicate, studying the ocean from pictures taken by satellites or using the data collected to improve our understanding of the universe.
