About the Transport Zone

Donkeys and horses were domesticated to be used for transport around 5,500 years ago, the wheel was invented in the Middle East not long after that, and Egyptians designed the first sailing boat about 3,100 BC.

Since then, transportation has only keep improving: big trailers bring food to our supermarket, we can take planes that put us on the other side of the world within hours, cities have become gruyere cheese full of holes for their subway network… we can even explore the space!

Engineers in the Transport Zone move things. There is one engineer creating software to control big naval ships, and another one designing new cars. There is one engineer creating a better combustion to power different engines, and another one using new materials to create the aircraft of the future. Finally, there is also an engineer designing and maintaining roads.
