• Question: How will that benefit other groups of children other than the children going? Why did you choose this idea?

Good question…..I chose this idea, solely on the fact that I can see where the money is going, and by doing something practical, I know i’m making a change, getting personally involved with the charity and not just giving it to them to decide what they want to do with it.

The initial idea was to team up with the Prince’s Trust and hold a competition that will give around 15 students the opportunity to experience some of London’s most popular monuments. The Prince’s Trust is a charity that helps young disadvantaged individuals who may be facing difficulties at school or with the law, meaning they may not be exposed to opportunities such as these.

The competition will consist of asking pupils to design a new, modernized version of the Big Ben. I will then pick 15 students with the best designs, and give them the experience of viewing London from a height.

Any other money that is left, will be donated to the Prince’s Trust. To help with the mentoring of students and providing financial grants to those who financially unstable. Giving all the opportunity to experience, employment and educational opportunities.
