The better you do in maths and science the more options you have available and the easier your route into engineering will be.
I left school with Ds at in maths and science, which was not ideal. It has meant i have had to work alot harder to get to where I am now! It shows though that if you dont do well, a door is not slammed shut. :0)
It depends on the employer and university requirement. To get onto my apprenticeship I had to have 5 GCSE at grade C and above including B in Maths and C in English

Worked very hard once i left school and did engineering equivalents
