  That is long way away, the research is sill in developing the sensors and interfacing the sensors to the optic nerve. Currently the image is fed to the nerve via a camera, the camera is usually fixed to a pair of glasses. So the test subjects usually look like one of the Borg from Star Treck Next Gen.

  I don’t think you can at the moment. I think the most sophisticated implant that produces an image in the brain has around 20 pixels. There is some really good work controlling other implants such as arms by using electrical signals sent to other muscles.

  Unfortunately not at the moment. Research is focussing on developing sight rather than movement at the moment. They look pretty good though!
