It’s something we think about. At the moment we don’t design or make anything biological or living, so the things we design are tools, that can’t develop into anything else. We aren’t trying to change or manipulate biological systems, but work with them.
There is a lot of engineering “know how” involved in what we do, and so we are careful with who we share this with.
If we developed something that was only used in private healthcare and not in the NHS that would annoy and frustrate me. I suspect if there were more engineers in politics these sorts of things would be less likely to happen.
