Switzerland, no other country have 4 official languages, German in the north and central, French in the West, Italian in the south and Rumantsch in the eastern boarder towards germany.

Each region has its own Canton, so its a bit like the USA. Since I worked in both the southern parts near Lugano – border with Italy and Zuric in the north. I needed work permits for Zurich and canton of Ticino.

People are freindly and nice and clean, great public transport and the mountain landscape must be seen to believe. Their tunneling technology to allow roads and railway to go underneath mountains. The St. Gotthard – San Gottardo is the longest in the world at just under 17km

The CERN facility is just outside Geneva. What other country has such diversity.

      Hi Geoff,

I’ve really just worked in the UK, in London and in Edinburgh. I loved the size of Edinburgh, being able to walk everywhere and with the comedy festival every year, but I don’t think I could have the exact job anywhere else than London, at least at the moment! I think London is great as well, there are loads of bits of it that you can explore, it just takes longer to get places, because it’s bigger. I liked spending time in the USA and also Sweden.
