In the future I hope that what we are doing will improve peoples lives. As well as rebuilding people, we have learnt a lot about what sort of activities keep bone healthy. So we know that walking alone won’t keep your bone healthy in old age – you need to do other activities that gets your joints to go through more extreme ranges of motion (don’t let your parents or grandparents retire to a bungalow!) – this goes against some government advice at the moment. So as well as helping specific individuals I hope that I work could be used to help the whole population by providing better advice on how to stay healthy.
