Question: Hey, I’m sorry to disturb you from your work because you probably have a lot of other questions to get through but: 6. How hard did you work to get where you are now? Did you ever think you wouldn’t be able to get as far as you did? I gave you a number of questions so you can pick 1 or a few to answer :)

Hi Ava, it is said that “Sometimes bad things have to happen before good things can.”, so perseverence is the key to success. I never thought I’d move abroad and live there over 12 years as a successful engineer. When I was young, most people around me told me to get a basic job and be happy with it, yet, I chose to take a massive risk and leave everything behind. I worked very hard at it and it paid off big time!! The harder and wiser you work now, the better your life will be in the future. Find great mentors who support you and help you overcome your challenges. If you truly commit and believe, then you will do the seemingly impossible! Make a plan, revise your plan, keep calm and carry on!

Hi Ava, i’d say it was a lot of hard work to get where i am now! although i enjoyed school it didnt come naturally and so i always had to do a lot more work than some others to get the grades i wanted. one tip though if you’re looking at universities look at ones with a year in industry or a chance to work for a while during the course. once i’d worked on my placement year i then found university quite a lot easier when i returned 🙂
