• Question: How can hydrogen be used as fuel?

      This is a great question – there are two main ways. One way is just to burn it, like with petrol in a car. It burns really hot, and has a lot of energy, but is not too easy to control. Another way is to use a Hydrogen Fuel Cell – which uses a chemical reaction to turn the hydrogen into water, and produce electricity at the same time. There are a lot of experiments and research going on with Hydrogen Fuel Cells at the moment.
