My job is to get the pictures and sounds from live events into TV (or radio) studios so that they can then be broadcast and you can watch them at home.

I mostly deal with live events – anything that people might want to watch as it’s happening (football or sports for example – you don’t want to wait til tomorrow to find out who scored a goal right? You want to watch it live!) A team of people will go to the event and film it, and it’s my job to get their pictures and sounds back to a studio so they can be broadcast. There are lots of ways to do it, so I have to pick the way I think is best for the event. Sometimes I get to go along to the event to make sure everything works, which is really fun because I get to see different parts of the World!
