• Question: As humans have developed to use technology (electricity in particular) in everything we do, would it be easy or even possible for the human race to now live without any technology? For example, would we be able to keep our food cold without fridges or freezers? Please explain your answer.

I think it would be difficult but that eventually we would adapt. A lot of people might not be able to adapt though and we probably wouldn’t be able to produce enough food for everyone on the planet now, so the population would have to decrease. But a couple of decades ago we survived without the internet, hundred years ago we survived without electricity, and many thousand years ago we all lived in caves! So we have previously survived without technology and although we wouldn’t want to (and would lose a lot of the benefits that technology has given us), we would probably still survive. That’s not to say that future engineers wouldn’t then re-invent all the technology we have invented so far though!

I am afraid most of humanity would perish from cold hunger and thirst before we got organised. Pessimistic I know, but we are reliant on technology to a frightening extent.
