I worked with my father on the family car, and then started helping out on the farm nearby and eventually he paid me to be a grain-trailer boy (tractor boy). This set me on the path to things mechanical. Regards Robin
I always used to be the one assembling the flat-pack furniture my family bought! Other than that I didn’t do a lot until I had decided I wanted to be an engineer (when I was about 16). Then I got myself work experience in a couple of engineering companies, and spent my gap year working at another engineering company.
