• Question: do you believe in badger culling

      I have read a lot about this and personally do not think this will prove to be the answer to TB in cows. The biology of the badgers mean that they move into any area that has been left open, such as by culling the badgers that were there. I wish there was a more direct and less tragic method of either curing the cows, and the badgers from TB, or just protecting the cows from catching the disease. The only way we will find a better answer is by scientists studying the problem. regards Robin

      I don’t know a lot about badger culling, but there seems to be some much debate about it that I don’t think we have enough evidence to make it standard practice.

      I saw a badger dead on the road this morning…. I think they are really cute animals. If they need to be culled to prevent the spread of disease and this is the only answer, then for the sake of humanity and to prevent an epidemic then it may be the answer, but I am not an expert in this area so I cannot really give an answer 100%. Apologies!
