@ theultimate: Yes I do. I used to be a Company Director and found that, although it was a small company, I had so much other stuff to do that I missed doing all that real engineering, so I decided to apply for a job as a staff engineer (down-sizing my job it is called) and I am happy as a pig in err…. mud.
Every one should do a job they hate for a while (as I did when I was young) I stuck it for nearly two years and the “lots or money” just was not worth it. Doing a job you feel fits with what you like doing is one of the things that makes life pleasurable and satisfying. Hope this helps. Regards Robin

Yes, most of the time I do. I think all jobs (even the very best ones) have good days and bad days, but it is important that the bad ones don’t outnumber the good ones. In my job I am lucky to have enough flexibility to decide what I want to do and when, so if I’m not enjoying investigating something I can take a break from it for a few days and look at something else. I can also plan my time to do any boring bits first so they are out of the way and then I can get on with the bits I enjoy for the rest of the day.
