      Not normally, but some engineers have to inspect and check all sorts of things that are outside. Big vessels, bridges and lorries and the like. Regards Robin

      Not at the moment, because I need to do some experiments in the lab first. Once I have done those experiments I might be able to build some bigger equipment to test outside using the sun (at the moment I just use an internal heat source like a bunsen burner). One of the people doing a similar project to me is about to take his equipment outside to test so I might be able to help him too, but generally we spend most of our time inside.
