• Question: Hi I am doing a balloon debate in favour of Steve Jobs, co-founder of apple. I feel that he contributed a great deal to history and was an excellent inventor/engineer. Do you have any tips or contributors to help me with my project? Many thanks Issy, Putney High School.

@issydinan: Steve Jobs did a brilliant job at just the right time of bringing computers from their original limited application to the amzing complex thing they are today. He was not content with producing me-too products and knew how to think about the future and strive to make products that fitted his vision.
Most engineers are “re-active” in that they work on and solve the problems of today and think that is enough. People like Jobs and Dyson look at things in a different way and are “pro-active” in chasing a dream of something that does a job that nothing today can do. Regards

I don’t have any tips about Steve Jobs, but when you are presenting make sure you speak clearly. And if you get nervous remember that nobody else knows your topic as well as you do so they will all be looking forward to learning something from you.
