• Question: It is very interesting that part of your job is to make something that has never been made. How do you do that? Is there a process that you go through as an engineer?

Yes. We write down what we think it has to do, and then as we go along designing each part we find we got the original idea wrong or inaccurate so we change it and change the design. This is called an iterative process and you have to go along this route when coming up with a completely new thing. I find the process very interesting and huge fun. Sometimes I think i shouldn’t be paid for what i do, but I do need to live so that’s fair.
