Question: what real world applications could this system be used in?

A fusion reactor will replace the heat source in all other power stations potentially. Presently these are gas oil or coal burners or a fission nuclear reactor and all have big probelms. We just ahve to get a fusion reactor working. That would be really useful to all mankind.
