What I'd do with the money

I would use it to organise an event with the CIBSE Young Energy Performance Group (I’m on the committee) to get more younger people interested in saving energy and our planet!

  Persevering, Quirky, Adventurous

  What's the best thing you've done in your career?

  Worked in the Olympic Velodrome before they started racing in it. I was also picked as a Rising Star in Sustainability by Building Magazine this year (to my surprise!) – that’s me in the middle below

  What did you want to be after you left school?

  High in the mountains snowboarding

  Were you ever in trouble at school?

  I was very well behaved at school…

  If you weren't doing this job, what would you choose instead?

  I’d have a workshop building bikes…so just a different type of engineer?!

  What's your favourite food?

  Cheese!

  What is the most fun thing you've done?

  Cycled solo through Patagonia (Chile and Argentina) for a couple of months. Me, my bike, my tent and lots of warm socks
