Seriously, though, it depends – engineering is great for some people, but that doesn’t mean it’s right for everyone. Some people might be happiest as a baker, or an artist, or a chemist – who knows?! The important thing is you have great opportunities like this to learn from people who are doing the jobs. I wish I’d had something like this when I was younger!
Yes! – but I think Engineering is on a par or a close second with them 🙂 I love my job but I also enjoy playing sports, listening to music, watching TV … and food! (Ice cream, cheesy chips, chocolate, doughnuts, pizza … I could go on!)
I personally think I have an awesome job – the best job – (and Engineering is awesome!), but even since I decided I wanted to be an Engineer my career has changed so much and taken different directions – I’d have never thought I’d be doing what I’m doing now when I was younger. This has only happened through giving things a go and deciding I either loved them or didn’t really enjoy them. It’s all about seeing what interests you and what you’re passionate about and that’s something only you can answer!
I think as a job it can’t be beaten.
The challenges and opportunities are endless, not something you could say about being an accountant.
(Sorry if anyone knows an accountant)
Lots of stuff is better than engineering!
But then most of those things wouldn’t be possible -at least not in the way we enjoy them nowadays – without some sort of engineering – it really does impact pretty much every area of life!
