      Hi Aswat!

When I was taught at the University I learnt about the topics I’m researching now – but I learnt the equations and descriptions people had developed (some of which have been around for about 80 years!). I basically learnt what’s in all our text books and used in industry at the moment 🙂

I knew about the problems with ground vibrations because of working in industry. I didn’t get to research this further until I started my research now. I get to look at things in much more detail now but I think I probably wouldn’t have chosen this research topic if I hadn’t known about it before I started 🙂
