      Hi Tjptaylor,

I don’t remember really being inspired by anyone famous. Instead, I was really inspired by the people around me. For example, the teachers who really cared about their subjects – even if I didn’t love that particular subject as much as them, I knew I wanted to find a similar passion for something. And my parents too, of course!

      Who’s yours?

      Hi Tjptaylor
My global role model / hero would be Daly Thompson. He was a Decathlete in athletics. The decathlon is a multi event athletics event similar to the heptathlon which Jessica Ennis-Hill competes in.
He won Olympic Gold in 1980 and 1984. He showed that anything is possible if you practice and give it your all

My heroes were the Thunderbirds! But the original puppet version, not the new animated one.
My dad had watched it as a kid in the 60s and it was just as nail-biting when I watched it in the 90s
I loved how they had this secret life where they saved the world and got to fly in amazing aircraft. Thunderbird 2 was definitely my favourite with all the different machines it could carry!

      Hi Tjptaylor 🙂

I never really had a famous hero, but my role-model has always been my Grandad. After World War 2, he became an Aeronautical Engineer who worked with aeroplanes. He didn’t go to university – he just learnt everything as he went along. When I was little we always used to be surrounded by model aeroplanes and magazines of jet fighter planes! You can ask him anything about planes and even now he’s nearly 90 he’ll give you a really detailed answer. I always wanted to have that kind of knowledge and passion for a subject 🙂
