      Biology is very cool. Let me tell you why:

      I decide how I will spend my time. I wear what I want to wear to work. I choose my own hours. I choose my own avenues of research. I travel the world to talk to people about my theories. I get to use pieces of equipment that cost hundreds of thousands of pounds or even millions of pounds. I solve problems. I spend all day being creative and building things.

      Science in general is the place to be if you want to be your own man/woman.

      Best of all, the news media hate us and religious fanatics hate us. I smile every day knowing they want to shut us down but will never get the chance.
