I guess the easiest way to explain ‘bulk handling’ equipment it to think of machines which move a mass of material quickly and efficiently from one point to another.
Just think if you had to shovel 100 tonnes of wheat into a drier (a fancy tumble drier!) with just you and a shovel, how long would it take you?
The idea of a conveyor or an elevator for ‘bulk handling’ is to do the job for you and take the strain in just a a couple of hours leaving the farmer free to harvest more wheat which then goes onto our tables. It also saves the farmer a huge amount of work!
