      Depending on the technique I would say:

      To grow in a pot or planter using soil I love planting cherry tomatoes. They are small, tasty and sweet. Because they are quite small, they reach the optimum size earlier than other varieties so you can enjoy them on your salad sooner!

      To grow hydroponically in a home-made system I love growing basil. Lettuce and salads are great but growing your own basil is better because you can cook your own pesto sauce and pizzas as well 😉
