      My initial answer is magic. Because it is.

      But there is also science behind it. It’s all to do with the electrons and neutrons in the solar panel getting excited when they get exposed to sunlight, creating an electrical current. I always liken it to a 5 year olds birthday party when someone walks in with a bowl full of sweets, they all eat some and get really excited and start bouncing off the walls!
