I have got to design lots of amazing things for amazing people. One of my prouder moments was seeing photographs of the completed hybrid solar system installed on a hospital on Likolma Island (in the middle of Lake Malawi), where they previously had limited power and now people can get hospital care 24 hours a day.

I was most proud when I finished my PhD three years ago. A PhD is a Doctor of Philosophy and this is the highest degree that you can get in any subject. It typically takes 4 years as a minimum. We are supposed to research something new and then write a 200-page thesis that describes our findings.
My PhD project was developing a new method to predict how jet engine blades vibrate and how this vibration makes them break sooner.
Needless to say, I was pretty relieved and proud when I submitted my thesis!
