I have two ‘main’ hobbies: I play the Guitar and I race nitro powered radio controlled cars…
I know racing radio controlled cars sounds like something I should have stopped doing years ago, but its great fun, a real technical challenge and it’s serious business! Have a look here at a typical race if you’re interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rO5X2PslDJ4

Other than that, I run (slowly) and spend my time with friends and family.

Generally getting into mischief. I am a member of the Wadebridge Creative Hub, which was set up to bring in a joined-up approach to all the creative elements of our community. We put on big events such as the Bikelights Festival (I hope to use the money from this competition to run workshops for kids), May Play (circus skills, dancing, comedy and drama for all) and the annual Carnival. It’s just an excuse to have fun really.

I also have a super excitable puppy that needs lots of walking 🙂

When I’m not working I love being outdoors as much as possible. I go mountain biking , walking and camping a lot in the Lake District. Also, I am in the Army Reserves so I spend some of my weekends training (there’s a picture on me on training exercise on my profile page). This weekend I was in Otterburn in Northumberland, where we were learning how to use some of our equipment. It was good fun but very very, very cold (-5 degrees)!

I like to draw, mainly portraits of people. This take a lot of practice and a lot of time but I really enjoy it. It’s good to have a hobby that’s completely different from your everyday job, as Ryan, Christine and Sarah have also demonstrated!
I also love to travel so I’m usually planning my next holiday, preferably somewhere warm! Also, my family lives in Canada so I try to go back and visit them as often as I can (though it’s not always that warm over there).
