The most important part of my job is to make sure that everyone who I work with go home safe and sound at the end of their working day. No job is worth getting hurt for.

The most important aspect of my job is understanding the “why” and “how” behind all of my analysis and experiments. Even if I build something and it works perfectly, it won’t be very useful to the other engineers or to the world if I can’t explain why and how it works so perfectly!

The most important aspect of my job is understanding ‘how’ the nuclear power plant could break and ‘what’ happens if it does. This means we can change the design to stop it breaking in a certain way in the first place or put in extra safety systems to stop the ‘what’ happening. By doing this is means we can design a nuclear power plant that will not harm the submariners inside, which is the most important part of all.
