      Hi,

      My most interesting project is probably the one that I am working on right now. At the moment I am part of a team looking at the design of a new nuclear power plant to go in the Next Generation of Submarines called ‘Successor’.       This project is interesting as it is the first time in 30 years that a new power plant is being designed. This means that all the old systems we used to use are being updated with new technology, so instead of submariners pushing a button to control the power plant they could use a touch screen like a phone. Designing in the new technology and understanding what could go wrong with it to stop that happening is very challenging and different to anything else I’ve ever done.
