      I attached DNA (genetic) drugs to nanoparticles by adding a thiol bond to the end of the DNA drug. The thiol bond attaches easily and automatically to the nanoparticle surface! At the end, you get tons of DNA molecules attached to the nanoparticle like this:

      nanoparticle–S–DNA

      where the ‘S’ represents the ‘sulfur’ in the thiol bond!!
