I have won a couple of awards within my company and for the company to do with education outreach. I really enjoy trying to inspire students in science and engineering, which is why I am enjoying this event so much.

But one of my colleagues a couple of years ago won “young chemical engineer of the year”. She was well chuffed! -

Luckily I’ve won few awards. I’ve won awards- for presenting my work, for writing an essay on engineering, scholarship for studies, scholarship to attend and present my work (I got to travel to various countries), etc. Best one was, they sent me to Canada for doing my (research) work. I really enjoyed working in Canada for couple of months!

I have won several awards for my work in college as well as my sports career (diving) in college. I was given a scholarship called the 2008 SEC H. Boyd McWhorter Postgrad Scholarship… that scholarship was for being a good athlete as well as being a good student. I also won the 2008 Eye of the Tiger Award from LSU for overcoming adversity to succeed in the pool and in the classroom. I won this award because at the biggest diving competition of the year, as I was diving off of the high (10 meters high) platform, I hit my feet on the platform on the way down! I went to the emergency room and got 10 stitches in my heels. Although, I toughed it out and returned to the pool for the finales… and ended up winning the championships! 😉

I haven’t won any awards for engineering but I would like to make a name for myself and be remembered for doing somethings really well.
