• Question: Would you not prefer to spend the prize money on leisurely pursuits instead of a workshop?

      Good question!!

      I would definitely rather spend the prize money on a website and opportunity for students to meet with, talk to, and give their feedback to scientists and engineers! As a student myself, I would have LOVED such an opportunity. I want to give this opportunity to young students, because you are the scientists and engineers of the future who will solve big problems like global climate change, environmental problems, cures to devastating diseases, and more! I want to be a part of seeing young students become passionate about STEM fields.

    We are not allowed to spend the money on leisurely pursuits, but if we were, I think I would still choose to spend it on an engineering communication project. I’ve worked at a school wtih students in a DT Department and I loved it!
