Question: Do any of the things you make help you in your life?

Not yet! But when I get my own place I intend on adding my own little home automation system where I can control and monitor various systems in my home.
I’d love to have sensors around the house monitoring temperature and light levels! And when I eventually become a father, have some technology helping keep the baby safe and comfortable.

Often I will make something at work to help me with another task at work, and the skills I learn working help me with my own projects.
Maybe one day I will get to try the machines I develop from a patient perspective.

A little bit like Will (we’re cool), I’m making a tea sensor at home that tells you when your tea is the perfect temperature! It’s not finished yet, so hopefully in a month I will be able to answer that with a ‘yes’!
