Question: Do you have to be good at Maths?

No, but it helps. Maths is so much of engineering, but you don’t need to have amazing mental arithmetic skills to be an engineer. I often use software to do mathematics or statistics as often the equations are very complex, it saves me from making mistakes, but I still need to understand the basics to use them.

If you want to be an engineer but you don’t think you’re great at maths, don’t let it stop you, I disliked maths in school but having the goal of becoming an engineer helped encourage me to study for it.
