I plan to change it in two ways:

      1. Finishing my research, and hopefully one day it will turn into a working piece of technology. I hope it will be used to improve the quality of diagnosis for someone being scanned for cancer.

      2. Teaching the younger generation about engineering and scientific disciplines and hopefully inspiring the next generations of scientists and engineers. I hope each of which will go out into the world and accomplish amazing things.

Such a big question! I’m not sure how I would change the future. However I would like my research to have an impact of the drug production industry by changing the way the quality of drugs are measured now. The aim is to build in more confidence early in drug production so better drugs can be picked and speed up to whole process. I would also like to help continue to inspire young people to take up engineering.

Wouldn’t mind stumbling across the cure for cancer too! 🙂

That’s a fantastic, big-thinking question! Personally, I’m going for changing the world for one person at a time. Every person that you help can have their world changed if you do something good, and every extra person is a bonus. It doesn’t take huge efforts and multinational organisations to change the world, just somebody with an idea and hard work, or even just somebody willing to spread the love. In fact, so far I have found that the best changes have been ones made by normal people. So, I think the real question is how will *you* guys change the world in future?

That’s difficult to answer, if I’m honest I don’t think my work will directly have much of an impact on the world at all. While it is important to develop medical technology, my role is a small part in a big team of people and if I didn’t do it the technology would still move forwards, but that’s because people will always be interested in driving to new tech.

Usually it’s the collective effort that makes the difference!
