For me I feel that I get to use different aspects of aspects of science and maths in a applied manner that impacts the real-world. Doing research I get the chance to communicate with people of with different specialities and interests. I feel challenged (not to say other jobs aren’t challenging) in the right way and I think its fun to work towards creating an invention.

There is a great deal of satisfaction to be had from taking text book ideas and concepts and using them to making something work in the real world.
It can be a very challenging process doing this but then comes the satisfaction of rising to that challenge and coming out on top!

I get to apply myself to a wide range of sciences and can work in a huge variety of roles, meaning that I don’t get stuck doing the same thing for years and years.
