• Question: what infections does this machine test for? do you think it will be a problem that some might not be detected?

Currently we have either have tests ready or in development or planning for the following infections:

      Chlamydia trachomatis
      Neisseria gonorrhoeae
      Trichomonas vaginalis
      Mycoplasma genitalium
      Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
      Methicillin-Sensitive Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA)
      Clostridium difficile
      Norovirus

As far as not detecting goes; the way current technology works, we sadly cannot just blindly test a urine or blood sample and detect every single infection present. You have to look for a specific infection, so if you suspect a patient might have Chlamydia for example, you would then test their sample using the Chlamydia test cartridge, the test will then target that specific infection and tell you if it is present or not.

One of the novel aspects of our system is that we can target multiple infections at once to help speed up the process.
