Absolutely not! I come from a background people don’t necessarily associate with going to University. I come from a family that doesn’t have a lot of money and no previous history of higher education in the family. Naturally I wasn’t expecting to go to University nor were my family expecting me to.

I definitely wouldn’t have predicted that I’d be researching in a top 10 University in one of the best electronic engineering departments in the country. It goes to show that it doesn’t matter where you come from 🙂

I expected to be where I am progression wise, but definitely not in the medical field, it has come as a nice surprise.

Nice question, and as for me: definitely not! I only decided to become an engineer after college, and I only recently managed to start working in a hospital!

No way!!! I was thinking I was going to do 5-6 year of medical school but I went in a completely different direction. Its interesting looking back because the way I thought, the things that were important or interesting to me then and really different now. It’s all part of growing up but it would have been nice to have a crystal ball back then to see myself in the future!
