Where is the Internet?
We all know we can find out almost anything we need to know on the internet, but where is all of this information stored?
It sometimes seems like the internet is just floating in a cloud that can make information appear on our screens.
In fact, the internet sits securely in physical computing equipment like servers and network systems. This equipment is kept in buildings called data centres.
What are Data Centres?
Data centres are buildings that contain all of the equipment needed to ‘store’ the internet.
They have to be really well regulated to make sure they never lose power or connectivity.
