2 years, but there are both 1 and 2 year programs out there, depends on the subject, uni, etc. Are you thinking of doing one? Often the choice of doing a masters/phd straight out of uni is a) do you enjoy study enough to do it another couple years or b) do you want to get out and start earning money? In my case I decided to stay ins chool a couple years, and the extra qualification was important to get my current job, so it was worth it.

mine was an integrated course with my honours. So it was 1 extra year long to do that, typically masters are 1 year long, some perhaps 2. My whole course was 5 years in total and it was great fun!

I had the option of leaving university after three years with a Bachelors degree, or doing four years and getting a Masters.

I don’t actually have a Master’s degree, just a Bachelor’s. I set out on the Master’s course, but I was so bad at the maths and had such a rough time in my second year of Uni (for family reasons) that I dropped down to the Bachelor’s course.

Didn’t stop me, though! Qualifications are important, but enthusiasm actually counts for a lot!
