I had a friend growing up who was older than me who had a job at NASA, and he built something that went up on the space shuttle, and he said he was an engineer. I didn’t really know what an engineer was but that sounded awesome to me so that really made a difference.

My dad was a physicist and I got into science because of him. I studies physics too at University, but after that I realised that I enjoyed building stuff and getting my hands dirty, as well as the more esoteric pure science.
