I have lived in the villages just south of Bristol my whole lift. I am a keen Mountain biker, so i spend most of my weekend riding my bike and then having to fix and clean it afterwards! However on the evenings I will normally sit down with my partner and watch way too much TV, while our hamster “Franky” crawls all over us. As an engineer I always want to tinker with things so I also do a fair bit of 3D printing at home.

My Work
I work on bringing new technologies into the aerospace market

As a technology engineer I work across many different projects, in my previous projects I have worked on developing design rules of new manufacturing processes like 3D printing to aerospace grade titanium alloys. Since then I have worked on a project in bringing a new 3D printing process that involves powerful lasers and big robots.

What I'd do with the money
Exciting new workshop days
-

I would like to create some exciting and engaging workshop and career days that could be hosted at GKN’s new Facility the Global Technology Centre (GTC). These days would have a mix of practical activities, learning and career talks, to inspire the students. However the main use of the money would in fact be to facilitate the free transport (to and from GTC) and lunches for the students.
