Yes, I like that I have lots of different projects to work on and new things I need to learn which stops me getting bored.

Yes I do – there’s a lot of variety in what I do every day and I get to see the difference I make to my customers.

i think being a team player really helps because you need to work with people most times to achieve the best designs. Also a very good understanding of science and maths goes a long way.

I think engineers need to be creative and able to problem solve. Sometimes understanding costs can be good too as engineers often need to make or work to budgets.

It is really hard to say what it is like to be an engineer because there is so many different jobs. I mainly work in an office working on my designs with teams of people and writing them up on the computer. We also employ engineers who work on sites, sometimes they’ll manage teams of people or test things. For working on sites you would need to wear a hard hat, boots and high vis jacket.
