• Question: do you work on movie set props (like star wars)

      No – I’ve not worked on props for a movie.

      I do have a friend who makes Darth Vadar helmets as his job though. I’d say he was a crafts-person rather than an engineer even though he needs to understand some pretty technical stuff about chemicals and his oven.

      No. I thought about being a lighting technician for a while because I thought travelling around setting up the lighting for music stars and stuff sounded like fun.

      No but I would like to if I had the chance. My friend does! She studied lightning and stage management at RADA and now works doing stage props for theatre.

    No, but I’ve got friends who work to set up lighting for shows and festivals. One of the great things about engineering is there’s so many things to do there are plenty of options to suit different peoples interests.
