      I think it’s very important. Engineering is often about balancing ideas with costs and understanding how businesses operate and make money often makes it easier to work out if ideas are good or not.

      I think its quite important as an engineer you will probably lead projects and manage resources. Having a good understanding of business will help you manage budgets and also time.

      Understanding business and how they make money is important once you are an engineer – but you can learn a lot about that whilst you work. A lot about understanding business is about being curious and thinking about what makes other people’s lives easier (especially your customers).
