  Enough that I can buy a house and go on a couple of holidays a year. I think engineering mostly pays above the average in the UK which I think is about £26k at the moment.

  As I’m an engineering apprentice, my pay isn’t quite what that of a fully qualified engineers is and hopefully that will come in time as I head up the ladder. At the moment I have enough to rent and have enough of a social life outside of work.
