• Question: What skills have you learnt whilst being an engineer?

      I have learnt how to problem solve, work with people to achieve goals, analytical skills and also communication skills. I think it’s developed me as an individual.

      I have learnt lots about designing electrical systems but also things about other trades. For example I know the different processes used to clean water and treat sewage, I know lots of regulations about buildings and the environment and I learnt how to design control systems where a single computer can be used to control and monitor hundreds of different water plants across the country.

      I have gained formal engineering qualifications and have developed a lot of life skills through dealing with the conflicts which can occur when delivering a project.
